Winners of the OAR 2012 Calendar Contest!

Thanks to all of those who submitted photos of their fabulous cats for the OAR 2012 calendar! The judges had a very difficult job but have made their selections for first, second and third place photos for each month.

The professional photographer on the jury panel told us that she was very impressed with the quality of the photos. Those of us on the committee (none of us were judges) fell in love with some of those wonderful fuzzy faces! The judges received only the photo of the cat, identified by number, and the story (if any) that you provided. They did not know the name of the owner or the name of the cat, so the judging was on an anonymous basis. Photos were judged on alignment with the month's theme (40%), overall charm and appeal (20%), creativity, originality (uniqueness) and impact of the photo (20%), and artistic quality (composition, lighting, balance, etc.) (20%).

Thanks again for sharing your wonderful kitties with us and congratulations to those whose photos were selected by the judges to be stars!
