O.A.R. Receives Grant from PETCO Foundation for Clinic

We have received a $1,000 grant from the PETCO Foundation to help cover the expense of purchasing equipment for the clinic.
 
The PETCO Foundation supports organizations that serve the “Four Rs” – Reduce, Rescue, Rehabilitate, Rejoice.

O.A.R. embodies the PETCO commitment as we work to reduce the unwanted pet population through spay and neuter programs, rescue cats and kittens from unsafe situations, and rehabilitate injured cats taken from colonies.

Rehabilitation also refers to socialization of feral kittens so that they become adoptable pets.   “Rejoice” refers to the healing power of animals and the importance of the human-animal bond to the richness of life. Our wonderful cats brighten the lives of their adoptive families and the residents of St. Margaret Hall.
