O.A.R. Receives Grant from the Northern Kentucky University Mayerson Student Philanthropy Project to Spay and Neuter Feral Cats

O’Bryonville Animal Rescue has received a $1,000 grant from the Mayerson Student Philanthropy Project at the Northern Kentucky University. The award ceremony was held on April 23.

Kathleen Nicholson and Liz Johnson made a presentation to Dr. Julie Olberding’s Volunteer Management class at NKU. The O.A.R. TNR program was selected by the students to receive the award. The grant will be used to pay for spay/neuter surgeries in one of our feral colonies in Northside. The class is also preparing a plan for the management of volunteers in an organization such as O’Bryonville Animal Rescue.

The Mayerson Student Philanthropy Project is an initiative of the Manuel D. and Rhonda Mayerson Foundation. This program provides funds for students to invest in the community while learning about philanthropy-related issues.
